Sessions & Fees

Fees

Standard session rate: £80- £90 depending on means and location. Sessions are usually weekly.

Cancellations: I require more than 2 weeks notice for cancelled appointments. If less notice is given, I will try to rearrange the appointment for another time the same week, but that is not always possible.

In Person Sessions

I work in three locations across London. In Battersea, London Bridge, and Pimlico. All the rooms are comfortable and therapy specific.

What to expect

  1. What happens in a first session?

    • The first session is a conversation rather than an assessment.

There is no expectation that you arrive with clarity or a full account of what is happening.

We begin with what has brought you here, and move at a pace that feels manageable.

      Intro Call

    • We can schedule a time for a free introductory call if that would be helpful in deciding wether working together would be a good fit.

  2. Are therapy sessions confidential?

    • Like all UKCP and BACP registered therapists, I have supervision in which I discuss aspects of my client work with an experienced therapist. When discussing clients in this space, I do so anonymously.

    • The only causes for a breach of anonymity are safety related- not just thoughts and feelings about harming yourself or others, but an intention to act on them. If I had any cause to breach confidentiality and anonymity I would always try to discuss this with a client before doing so.

  3. How long is a sessions?

    • Sessions are 50 minutes long.

  4. How many sessions do you recommend?

    • The number of sessions varies depending on what brings you to therapy. Some people come for short-term work around a specific difficulty, while others choose longer-term therapy to explore deeper patterns. Short-term therapy is often around 6–12 sessions, while longer-term work may continue for several months or more, with regular opportunities to reflect on how the process is feeling.

Online sessions

Online therapy works very well for most people. I use Zoom predominately, but can use other platforms such as Signal and Microsoft Teams if they are more compatible for you. Having a quiet space where you don’t expect to be disturbed is important for online sessions.
